Tropical Hive - Heist Brewery, NC - 5% ABV - 1 x 16oz Can - New England Pale Ale

This is a slightly different take on a juicy beer, but it’s so freakin’ delicious. The folks at Heist crafted this Hazy Pale Ale with local wildflower honey and huge heaps of Azacca and Citra Hops. Then they cranked things up even more by resting the brew on cara cara oranges, tangerines, and lime puree.

The fruit makes the hoppy flavors soar even higher for a tropical treat you can sip all day! It’s zingy and slightly tangy with massive lemon-lime and fresh squeezed OJ notes, along with a little bit of dank melon and a touch of pine on the finish. The kind of beer that’ll make you feel like you’re on a beach on some far flung island.

If you actually have access to a beach (or a creek, or a pool, or a bathtub) I’d definitely suggest taking this one for a dip. Or at least making it a shower beer.

So juicy it could be served for breakfast. Hmmmm lightbulb goes on. This is truly very delicious beer. I could drink it on a regular basis if I could find it anywhere.

(Bryn’s at the) World Series edition. This is super limey, balanced with honey sweetness. Fantastically crisp and tropically zingy. Zippy, lime zesty sweet and super interesting. Different and delicious.

Hazy, with a golden orange hue. More fizzy and effervescent than foamy, with minimal head retention and lacing. Punchy scent of orange, lime, and citrus. Light to medium body, with an effervescent mouthfeel. Dominant flavors of honey, tangerine, and orange, with a tangy, lime-forward finish. Additional layers of tropical fruit and citrus notes from the Citra and Azacca hops. Reminiscent of a sparkling aranciata, with more subtle fruit flavors and sweetness.
