A Note on This Beer
Apple, Google, Microsoft, North Park Beer Co. – they all share one thing in common.
They started in home garages! Of course, those tech folks aren’t serving up anything near as quenchingly delicious as North Park.
Owner Kelsey McNair started homebrewing in 2004, and his Hop-Fu! IPA became the most award-winning homebrew recipe in history! This success led Kelsey to launch North Park out of his garage.
These days, North Park has a full-fledged commercial brewing space and a huge SoCal following. They’re also one of Thrillist’s Most Essential Breweries in San Diego.
Today’s We Can Murk it Out Imperial NEIPA is a collab between North Park and a fellow rising star in the San Diego beer scene, Pure Project. This is the first chance we’ve had to taste either brewery on Tavour!
To make it, the brewers started with a plethora of Admiral Pils, Clipper Oat Malt, and Patwin Raw Wheat for a smooth and creamy base. Then, they hopped the brew with Vic Secret, Cashmere, El Dorado, and rarely-seen New Zealand Nectaron Hops, building a juicy mélange of fresh pineapple, ripe watermelon, peach rings, zesty citrus, and just a bit of piney dankness.
One sip and we think you’ll agree – Kelsey McNair knew what he was doing when he opened those garage doors.
With Tavour, it's easy to beer it forward! Just head over to Tavour.com/gifts to send a gift box or gift card to the craft beer lover in your life. Cheers!
