A Note on This Beer
Plan Bee Farm Brewery defines what it truly means to be home-grown Farmhouse Ale specialists by using all local and self-grown ingredients. Taste their funky innovative craftsmanship highlighted in today’s Barrel-Aged Winter Dark Farmhouse Ale. It’s like a chocolate mint mojito in a bottle – briskly tart with citrus tanginess, subtle cocoa depth, and minty coolness.
Winter’s dark Sour base is aged in Coppersea Whisky Barrels with freshly-picked chocolate mint, crafting a unique sipping experience from start to finish. Like sniffing a glass of Fernet-Branca, its herbal minty and cocoa aromas fill your senses. Brightly tart lemonade arrives, with hints of chocolate bitters in the background. More mint rushes through for a cooling, dry finish.
Nothing says “New York Terroir” quite like Plan Bee’s ales. Every ingredient in their ales come from NY state, with many from their own farm. Dark, tart Farmhouse Ales are a rare jewel to find, but it’s even rarer to try one that’s barrel-aged and minty.
