A Note on This Beer
We’re so excited to introduce Casita Brewing Company! Their name means “little house” in Spanish, but they’re doing some big things in the craft world.
They just opened their doors at the start of September, making them one of the youngest breweries on Tavour! But, they’re no strangers to the art of craft beer. Before planting roots in their hometown of Wilson, NC, this husband and wife team traveled all over the world, brewing beer in Denmark, England, and the Hazy capital of the world, Vermont.
Today’s velvety smooth “breakfast IPA”, Waking Dream, is a delicious example of their expertise. They packed this creamy brew with real orange zest, loads of oats, and luscious lactose! And, it boasts a noteworthy hop bill of fruity Citra and Simcoe, floral Amarillo, and dank Columbus Hops.
Tropical flavors of orange zest, mangoes, and papayas dance on the tongue, mingled with coniferous resin. The oats and malt add notes of freshly baked bread and a luxuriously soft mouthfeel, so it tastes like washing down a homemade biscuit with a glass of fresh OJ! Each sip gently fades into an invigorating pine tree finish, inviting you back for more.
Craft fans like @strohme2 are calling it, “easy drinking, balanced, and a great breakfast beer. Easily one I’d buy regularly.” And @Jon C. raves that it “drank like a dream. Really, really tasty.”
If you want to get a taste of this breakfast of champions, you’ll need to act fast — Casita’s brews rarely leave North Carolina, and we’ve got less than 40 cases to share!
*Casita frequently collaborates with superstars like Tired Hands, whom they’ve known since they were both home brewers!
