About This Brewery
The Lost Abbey started brewing Belgian style beers back in 2006, when other breweries were still fighting over who could cram the most bitter hops into a bottle. And all these years later, they’re still miles ahead of most craft crews in the country.
What began as an offshoot of the beloved Pizza Port quickly grew into a California institution, and then rolled across the country, gaining fans from coast to coast. Their Devotion Belgian Blonde, Red Barn Farmhouse Saison, and Judgment Day Quadrupel are legendary, and prove the brewery’s continued commitment to Old World Beer Styles, but that’s far from the whole story.
These guys also make Dark Beers like Serpents Stout, American Strong Ales like Deliverance, and even occasional IPAs like Merry Taj.
Hype: They opened in 2006, won ‘Small Brewery of the Year at GABF in 2007, then won Champion Small Brewery at World Beer Cup in 2008. They’ve been racking up awards ever since.
